Foliar feeding of melons and gourds
Soil and climatic conditions for the cultivation of gourd crops have a significant impact on the yield and its quality. It is also possible to improve these indicators with the help of cultivation technology. One of these elements of technology is foliar feeding with micro- and macro-elements and biologically active substances that have a positive effect on the formation of the crop, fruit size, sugar content and disease resistance.
Based on the results obtained in field conditions, the ECOORGANIC company recommends the following scheme of foliar fertilizing of melon crops
- The hula formation phase. To overcome the consequences of stress, which this season was enough in different regions, we recommend at the beginning of development in the phase of 2-3 true leaves to carry out foliar feeding with ECOLINE Universal Growth (Amino) fertilizers at a dose of 1.0 - 1.5 l/ha + ECOLINE Phosphite (K) 1.0 l/ha. The goal is to increase growth energy due to the combination of amino acids and readily available forms of microelements, as well as to stop the development of pathogens of fungal diseases (powdery mildew, fusarium wilt). Phosphorus in the form of phosphite is also a good stimulator of the growth of the root system.
- Two weeks before the beginning of flowering, it is desirable to carry out foliar fertilization with ECOLINE Boron (Wholesale) 1.5 - 2.0 l/ha. The goal is to preserve the leading bundles of the root in a healthy state and ensure normal flowering and pollination.
- The beginning of the formation of the ovary is to carry out foliar fertilizing of plants with ECOLINE Magnesium (Chelates) 1.5 l/ha. The goal is to improve the work of the photosynthetic apparatus of plants.
- When the berry reaches the size of a chicken egg, to improve the quality, in particular, to increase the content of dry substances in the pulp, carry out foliar feeding with fertilizers ECOLINE Phosphite (K-Amino) 1.0 l/ha + ECOLINE Boron (Organic) 1.0 l/ha.
- For all phases of development, when showing signs of stress, we recommend using the most effective product.
