Foliar feeding of tomatoes in open ground: an effective scheme for 2025
During the phase of formation of the first tassel and until the beginning of ripening, tomatoes actively form a crop. During this period, plants need support - not only because of the increasing requirements for mineral nutrition, but also because of the threat of diseases and physiological problems:
- late blight, alternariosis, brown spot
- top rot, fruit cracks, burns
To ensure high yields and fruit quality, we recommend the following proven foliar feeding scheme:
1st treatment:
- ECOLINE Phosphite (K) — 1.0 l/ha
- ECOLINE Complex Magnesium (Chelates) — 1.5 l/ha
- root stimulation, photosynthesis and protection against fungal diseases
Additionally, if there are few ovaries:
- GROS Quicelium — 1.5 l/ha
- ECOLINE Zinc (Chelate) — 1.0 l/ha
2nd treatment (after 2 weeks):
- ECOLINE Phosphite (K-Zn) — 1.0 l/ha
- ECOLINE Molybdenum (Complex) — 1.0 l/ha
- powerful leaves, better nitrogen absorption, protection from sunburn
3rd treatment (after another 2 weeks):
- ECOLINE Calcium-Boron (Chelates) — 1.5 l/ha
- ECOLINE Complex Magnesium (Chelates) — 1.0 l/ha
- strengthening of cell walls, stable photosynthesis
4th treatment:
- ECOLINE Calcium-Boron (Chelates) — 1.5 l/ha
- ECOLINE Boron (Opti) — 1.0 l/ha
- accumulation of sugars in fruits, elasticity and quality
Use the experience and scientifically based schemes from ECOORGANIC to get the most out of your tomatoes — even in difficult weather conditions.
