The season of 2021 did not start very well for melons due to lack of heat and heavy rains. Some areas under watermelons and melons had to be replanted. Now, in order to catch up and protect plants from the most harmful pests, it is important to combine chemical protection with effective foliar fertilization of plants.

For the watermelon, it is important to form a strong root system that will provide the aboveground part of the plant with everything necessary to achieve the planned harvest. For this purpose, we recommend foliar fertilization with ECOLINE Phosphite (K) at a rate of 1.5 l / ha two to three times with an interval of 2-3 weeks. This composition contains phosphorus in the form of phosphite, which stimulates the development of the root system and the plant as a whole and inhibits the development of fungi of the oomycete class, which severely damage both watermelons and melons. Infection of plants by powdery mildew significantly reduces the yield and its quality.

Melons are grown mainly on soils of light particle size distribution, which have a low content of calcium, magnesium and other trace elements. In order to eliminate their deficiency, it is recommended to add to the tank mix ECOLINE Magnesium (Chelates) 1.0 l / ha + ECOLINE Calcium-Boron (Chelates) 1.5 l / ha in the period from the beginning of formation of the first fruits till the last treatment with CPP.
