Weather conditions in the spring of 2021 were quite unfavorable for sugar beets, and therefore we observe a certain lag in growth and development of plants. Due to the cool weather with heavy rains, there is a danger of different kinds of stresses, as well as high pressure of root and leaf diseases during April-May.
We can significantly improve the situation by applying special fertilizers to correct nutritional conditions. To help plants in the phase before closing the leaves in a row, we recommend foliar fertilization with the products containing amino acids:
- in case of stress after application of crop protection products - ECOLINE Phosphite (K-Amino) 1.0 - 1.5 l / ha;
- in case of temperature stresses - ECOLINE Universal Growth (Amino) 1,0 l / ha;
- as for boron fertilization, during this period it is also better to use products containing amino acids, - ECOLINE Boron (Premium) 1.0 l / ha.
For the second half of the growing season of sugar beets, "ECOORGANIC" recommends the following program of foliar nutrition:
Closing of leaves in a row – till the rows closure (crop cover): for strengthening the processes of sugars accumulation, prevention of manifestations of physiological diseases - ECOLINE Boron (Premium) 1,5 l / ha + ECOLINE Copper (Chelate) 0,5 l / ha.
After rows closure: to increase the resistance of plants to diseases and enhance the process of photosynthesis - ECOLINE Magnesium (Chelates) 2.0 l / ha + GROS Phosphito-NP 1.5 l / ha.
The last treatment with fungicides: to increase sugar content, increase the synthesis and outflow of sugar into the root, improve the technological quality of raw sugar - ECOLINE Phosphite (K-Amino) 1.5-2.0 l / ha.
