Foliar nutrition of sunflower in 2022 in the period from 6-8 pairs of leaves till the "star" phase
Phase 6 - 8 pairs of leaves is extremely important in the ontogenesis of sunflower. At this time the basket is actively forming which is the main element of the crop productivity. Therefore, the lack of key elements of mineral nutrition and any kind of stress have a negative impact on future harvest. Balanced mineral nutrition combined with integrated plant protection can ensure a fuller use of the genetic potential of hybrids and, consequently, a higher yield of proper quality.
Weather conditions in early summer are usually marked by a large number of anomalous phenomena: some areas in the south and center suffer from droughts, and in the west and north - from partial flooding. In this year's conditions, it is not always possible to implement the planned technological steps of the crop growing. For the phase of 6 - 8 pairs of leaves, the best product is ECOLINE Boron (Premium). This fertilizer, in addition to 140 g / l of organic boron, contains 10 g / l of L-α-amino acids, which provide rapid overcoming of stress by sunflower plants. The dose rate is 0.5 - 1.0 l / ha per one application.
An important role in the mineral nutrition of the crop belongs to phosphorus and potassium, which contribute to the formation of healthy plants. Therefore, in this phase we recommend a universal phosphite ECOORGANIC fertilizer ECOLINE Phosphite (K) at a dose of 1.0 l / ha.
On soils with low content and low availability of zinc, fertilization with GROS Amino-Zn is effective (20 g / l zinc and 100 g / l L-α-amino acids).
