Foliar nutrition of winter cereals at the beginning of the earing phase

The formation of the flag leaf till the beginning of earing is one of the most important stages in the formation yield of cereals. In fact, this is the period of protection of the yield quality. Weather conditions at this time are favorable for the development of leaf diseases and pests that feed on plant sap.

Leaves damaged by pests and diseases perform worse with the main task - the absorption of carbon in the process of photosynthesis and the formation of reserve substances, which, in turn, reduces the yield potential of the crop. Therefore, it is important to ensure maximum productivity of photosynthesis by preserving the top and, especially, the flag leaf from diseases and pest damage. And the creation of conditions for a balanced nutrition with macro and micronutrients will be an additional factor in increasing yield and improving its quality.

According to the results of our long-term field tests in different climatic conditions of Ukraine, the most effective scheme of foliar nutrition of winter cereals in the phase of flag leaf formation - the beginning of earing is combination of micro elements with phosphorus in the form of phosphite: ECOLINE Cereal (Chelates) 1.0 - 1.5 l / ha + ECOLINE Phosphite (K) 1.0 l / ha.
