Open vs closed cell PU foam: how to choose the right structure?
In ECO FOAM polyurethane foam systems, we offer two basic types of structure - with a clear purpose and their own advantages.
Closed cells - Eco Foam Spray CC30 W, Eco Foam Spray CC25 W. Rigid, dense structure with sealed cells for complete insulation
- Minimal water absorption
- High thermal insulation with a thin layer
- Additional structural rigidity
Areas of application: metal structures, frame buildings, cold storage and industrial chambers, roofs, facades, underground, foundations, hangars, warehouses, farms
Open cells - Eco Foam Spray OC O8 W. Soft, elastic structure, open cells - the material “breathes”
- Fills hard-to-reach cavities and cracks
- Minimum load on internal floors and structures
- Vapor permeable, provides natural ventilation
- High sound absorption properties
Areas of application: interior partitions, interior walls and ceilings, attics, wooden structures requiring a ventilated layer
