System of autumn foliar feeding of winter rapeseed.

The autumn period in the technology of growing winter rapeseed is extremely important for obtaining the planned harvest.

Special attention of an agronomist is needed to control the formation of a powerful root system - a determining factor for the successful overwintering of rapeseed plants. For this, winter rapeseed plants need a sufficient level of nutrition with macro- and microelements, of which the following are extremely important in autumn:

  • nitrogen - necessary for the growth of the vegetative mass of plants,
  • phosphorus - ensures the growth of the root system, an optimal rosette and takes part in the synthesis of nucleic acids,
  • magnesium - takes part in the synthesis and functioning of chlorophyll, as well as the synthesis of ATP - the energy carrier in plants,
  • boron - ensures the normal development of leading bundles, growth points, contributes to the accumulation of sugars, their transportation to the root neck and improves the frost and winter resistance of the plant and overwintering as a whole, prevents deformation and hollowness of the rapeseed root system,
  • manganese - participates in the process of photosynthesis and protein synthesis.

In the period of plant development, from phase 4, leaves begin to intensively use growth-regulating substances, insecticides and fungicides. Based on this, we suggest foliar fertilization with ECOLINE Boron (Organic) 0.5 l/ha and ECOLINE Phosphite (K) 1.0 l/ha huh This will make it possible to provide plant protection and nutrition with key elements at the same time.

An important feature of boron is that it is immobile on the plant, therefore feeding must be carried out in several stages (2-3 times) every 2 weeks in the amount of 0.5 l/ha. In case of acute deficiency, it is desirable to increase the total amount of boron to 1.5 -2.0 l/ha.

For plants that are under stress caused by adverse weather conditions, the use of products with amino acids and phytohormones has a positive effect, which ensures intensive growth of the root system and participates in the synthesis of nucleic acids.

  • In such a situation, we recommend foliar fertilization with ECOLINE Phosphite (K) at a rate of 1.0 - 1.5 l/ha + ECOLINE Boron (Premium) 0.5 -1.0 l/ha.
  • In fields with soils of a light granulometric composition, eroded, where a lack of magnesium and boron is possible, use ECOLINE Boron (Premium) 1.0 l/ha + ECOLINE Magnesium (Chelates) 1.0 – 1.5 l/ha + ECOLINE Phosphite (K) 1.0 - 2.0 l/ha.
  • In fields with low supply of phosphorus, or in the presence of phosphorus deficiency, we recommend ECOLINE Phosphite (K) 1.5 - 2.0 l/ha + ECOLINE Boron (Premium) 1.0 l/ha.
