SYSTEM OF EXTRA-ROOT NUTRITION OF WINTER ROSE CANOLA CROPS IN AUTUMN 2022
The autumn period in the technology of growing winter rapeseed is extremely important for obtaining the planned harvest, and therefore it is necessary to carry out a set of measures to better prepare the plants for adverse weather conditions.
Important points to pay attention to:
- The formation of future productive stems begins with the presence of 4 leaves (VVSN14). Balanced mineral nutrition and a longer period of bud formation at the top of the root neck ensure a higher yield.
- Providing plants with boron. Signs of boron deficiency in autumn are clearly manifested in the form of chlorosis of young leaves, the appearance of red-purple spots, microcracks on the main root. An acute lack of boron in the autumn period leads to inhibition of the growth and development of the root system, insufficient development of the leading bundles, the growth point, a decrease in the accumulation of sugars, and their transportation to the root neck. It also impairs frost and winter resistance of plants, which causes deformation and hollowness of the root system of rapeseed.
- Mitigation of the harsh action of growth regulators. Regulation of the growth of winter rape is carried out from the phase of 3-4 leaves. Often there is a need for multiple processing. Under favorable weather conditions and compliance with the recommended dosages of drugs, plants can relatively easily tolerate stress from the introduction of growth regulators. However, in conditions of drought or when using increased doses, rapeseed plants can be under severe stress, which must be corrected.
Taking into account the above factors, we offer the following options for fertilizing winter rapeseed with "ECOORGANIC" fertilizers:
On crops with visual manifestations of boron deficiency, we recommend applying ECOLINE Boron (Organic) at a dose of 1.0 l/ha, in other cases - 0.5 - 1.0 l/ha.
When stress is manifested, foliar fertilizing with ECOLINE Phosphite (K) 1.0 l/ha + ECOLINE Boron (Premium) 0.5-1.0 l/ha ( - taking into account the unstable nature of the weather in autumn, so that the plants have time to assimilate as quickly as possible boron, accumulation of sugars in the root neck).
It is recommended to use ECOLINE Boron (Organic) 1.0 l/ha + ECOLINE Magnesium (Chelates) 1.0 – 1.5 l/ha + ECOLINE Phosphite (K) 1.0 - 2.0 l/ha.on fields with soils of light granulometric composition, eroded, where magnesium and boron deficiency is possible.
Taking into account that boron is a slow-moving element in the plant, we recommend applying it twice, 0.5-0.75 l/ha at a time, repeating the introduction after 10-15 days!
