A group of trees cultures where fruits that contains seeds inside are cash crop. The сultures are demanding to the conditions of mineral nutrition. When developing a mineral nutrition programme, one should consider that these plants are perennial which use certain mineral nutrients for years in order to ensure yearly growth of vegetative mass and form the crop and thus deplete the soil. According to biological peculiarities of fruit and berry cultures, their vegetative period has two major stages: the first one encompasses the time from vegetation to fructification, while the second one takes from fructification to entering winter. In the first stage the plants use their resources for formation and ripening of the fruits. Key elements of mineral nutrition in this period are: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, boron, iron, and zinc. Foliar feeding is recommended according to the needs of plants. In the second vegetation stage the fruit buds for the next year crop are set, and quite often this process is combined with growth and ripening of fruits. Phosphorus and potassium are preferable for nutrition in the second vegetation stage, while copper and phosphorous in the phosphite form is favourable in the post-harvest period as means of disease prophylaxis.
